Instagram Weekly Round Up - moving color, changing seasons and gratitude for connections seen

I share a decent amount of my daily process over at Instagram, which is by far my favorite social media place to hang out these days.

I also enjoy when people do these little round-ups at their blogs, want to archive some of my own IG photos + musings somewhere that 'belongs' to me, and thought it might be nice for some of you who stop by (that might not be on IG) to see what I share over there... so it seems like the perfect time to start a little weekly round-up of my own.

This one will be a bit longer than a week's worth as I get started, so here we go...

9/17/15: This is some of the work shared here on IG from the amazing circle of women who joined me in RELATE this year. We are each in the midst of a daily contemplative creative practice that includes writing prompts for reflection and a visual practice of choice (photography, #artjournaling or a #painting ). Mostly though, I am always so filled up by the heart-touching soul depth and collective energy of people who come together with a shared focus for creative practice. Things shift. Awareness amplifies. And there is this exquisite mix of individual strength and expressive uniqueness, within a sense of belonging and support that is completely created by the group dynamic. I almost didn't hold Relate again this year, but I'm *so* glad I did. #createrelate

9/17/15: Mark-making meditations [wip]

9/15/15: Stories in color and line, coming together in my art journal

-

9/15/15: Morning walk, softening into changing relationships. #iloveautumn

-

9/14/15: Evening pages. First layers.

-

9/13/15: New Moon visions, backward and forward. Lots of clarity and pieces falling into place today. I'm thanking Virgo for that. The darkness has a way of bringing to light what is ready, what needs tending, what needs set free and what calls our soul forward. Are you setting intentions today, too?

9/12/15: Tonite's love song is about drawing lines with a gentle touch.

9/12/15: The offerings from these six soulful and inspiring women will make up the fourth session of Spectrum this year. They bring inspiration, journaling, and deep dive invitations into body intuition, daily practice, syncing up with moon cycles + mandalas, self-inquiry, alternative grief work, elixirs and, of course, making [life] art. And this is just 6 of the 25 offerings in Spectrum 2015! There is still plenty of time to join us this year and move through the incredible guidance and content, letting it work its magic on your heart and perspective in a self-paced way that supports your creative journey. Come learn more and consider joining us for this downloadable creative content. We'd love to connect with you.

9/2/15: Gesso, words and ink on yellowed pages in a twenty year old sketchbook that still holds ideas for 6 foot clay sculptures, like manuscripts from another life. New Intentions. Course correction. Creative freedom. Keeping it simple and true for evening pages

8/31/15: Thinking about values, impression, focus, and carefully composed elements of how we see {our} nature, or more importantly maybe, how we can find ourselves there, in nature, when we feel lost - and rearrange the ways we've been feeling disconnected into softer, bite-size truths about the continuum, the passing of time and gifts of life. This photo feels like a collage to me.

-

8/27/15: Painting. Filming a workshop activity for our beautiful Spectrum participants. It can seem hard to create offerings for others when I feel I have to be a certain way to convey something meaningful, or when I'm feeling particularly tender, moment by moment, in the details of life. When I slow down and remember it doesn't have to be anything but honest, though, everything seems to fall into place to #create and share what I'm here to share. . .

8/26/15: Almost, but not quite. (Evening pages, out of the #artjournal to study on the wall)

-

8/25/15: Tender. I've been sitting with my #thesummermiracle response since this morning... I have known something of tender these past several days. My family has been handed a ... Gift. Though I'm reluctant to call it that. An invitation of sorts, to place feet to ground in spite of the unbearable coming, and let songs leave our lips with rememberings of everything we have always held dear and all that we know to be true about being good people, who neither cling too tight or release too soon. There is nothing to prove or earn. Only our whole hearts to give if only we are brave enough to receive. There is no going back. Only what Is, here, on the tender edges where shadow and light permeate our being and we feel we might just lose ourselves... because we will. The ancient wisdom keepers have always known how this goes, that we will shapeshift when it is time, that time will whisper exactly when we need to stand up for the love we are here to live. We will have a choice in the meaning we find - it will be exactly what we choose to see. And the time is now. It is a tender time indeed.

8/25/15: He made it with his own two hands. And now his hands make music with it. My days are filled with the songs of my love.

-

8/24/15: Simple Pages

8/21/15: Today is a day of seeking gifts in unlikely places. When everything changes this is #muchneeded #gratitude #loveyourpeople #trusttheprocess #everythingisconnected

That's it for this time. Wanna join me on Instagram? I would love to connect with you there!
